To start, let me introduce you to the female version of David Icke: Elizabeth April
Disclosure: Introduction from DeepSeek and Claude on May 10/2026
For decades, the idea of UFOs belonged to tabloids, conspiracy theorists, and sci-fi movies. But that changed dramatically in 2017, when the U.S. government quietly admitted it had been running a secret program to investigate unidentified aerial phenomena. Since then, Navy videos, Pentagon reports, and congressional hearings have turned a fringe belief into a serious, mainstream conversation. This ongoing process—what insiders call “Disclosure”—isn’t about little green men. It’s about the slow, startling acknowledgment that something is flying in our skies, and we don’t know what it is. The question is no longer *if* the truth is coming out, but what that truth will be.
🛸 UFO Disclosure: A Historic Moment Has Arrived
After decades of secrecy, public pressure, and congressional hearings, the United States government has taken its most significant step yet toward full transparency on the UFO/UAP phenomenon. Here’s what just happened:
📁 The Release — May 8, 2026
On May 8, 2026, the Trump administration released the United States UAP files — a collection of declassified government records on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs) — on a new dedicated government website called the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE). The first batch included approximately 160 documents and images, with the release described as part of a broader transparency initiative involving the Department of Defense, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, NASA, the FBI, and other federal agencies.
The 162 files — accessible at war.gov/UFO with no security clearance required — contain eyewitness testimony, photos, videos, and reports of sightings of unexplained objects, detailing incidents dating back decades from around the globe. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth declared: “These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled justified speculation — and it’s time the American people see it for themselves.”
📜 What’s Inside the Files?
The first batch included military reports, witness interviews, pilot accounts, government memos, photographs, and videos connected to UAP sightings dating back decades. Many records focused on unexplained aerial objects observed by military personnel, astronauts, and drone operators.
The files span from astronaut reports aboard the Apollo 12 mission in 1969 — where astronaut Alan L. Bean reported seeing “flashes of light” sailing off into space — to recent 2024–2025 infrared sensor footage from U.S. military platforms. The roughly two dozen videos run for a total of 41 minutes and show reported encounters from around the world between 2020 and 2026.
Out of the 162 files, 108 contain redactions. The Pentagon stated that information was withheld only to protect the identity of eyewitnesses, the location of government facilities, or sensitive military information unrelated to UAP — clarifying that no redactions were made concerning the actual nature or existence of any UAP encounter.
🏛️ The Road That Led Here
This release followed President Trump’s February 2026 directive, in which he called for unprecedented transparency on alien life, extraterrestrial phenomena, and related matters. The initiative builds on prior efforts like the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) and earlier declassifications under previous administrations.
The release came nearly a month after Trump gave a sneak preview, telling a conservative gathering that some “very interesting documents” would be released by the Department of Defense “very, very soon.” Lawmakers, serious scientists, and the public had pressed for disclosure of these files for years.
🔬 Reactions: Divided but Intense
Public reaction has been polarized. Enthusiast groups like MUFON and disclosure advocates are calling it a historic win, arguing the sheer volume of data makes it impossible for skeptics to dismiss UAPs as mere sensor glitches or weather balloons. Scientists, on the other hand, urge caution — noting that “unidentified” does not automatically mean “extraterrestrial.”
Experts note there is no definitive proof of alien life in the released files, and President Trump invited the public to judge the contents for themselves.
🔄 What’s Next?
This is only the beginning. The PURSUE system coordinates across government agencies to review millions of records — many of which exist only on paper. Additional files are expected on a rolling basis throughout 2026 and beyond, with new tranches posted every few weeks.
This marks arguably the most consequential moment in the history of UFO disclosure — not because it answers the ultimate question of whether we are alone in the universe, but because the government has, for the first time, opened its archives to the public and said: you decide.
